Paris Beaux-Arts is part of Made in Paris: Photo/Video, a season of French photography and video co-ordinated by the French Embassy — Institut français du Royaume-Uni taking place in London in the months of May and June 2003.
Made in Paris: Photo/Video is co-ordinated by the French Embassy in London, in collaboration from its inception with the AFAA—Association Française d'Action Artistique, the City of Paris and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, and has been made possible thanks to the support of its partners: Fondation EDF/London Electricity, Eurostar, Daniel et Florence Guerlain—Fondation pour l'art contemporain Daniel et Florence Guerlain, Fondation CCF pour la Photographie, Renault, Transexpo.

The Paris Beaux-Arts exhibition is organised in association with the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. It aims at showcasing some of the best young graduates in Photo and Video to have come out of the École des Beaux-Arts in recent years. Paris Beaux-Arts will showcase 7 new individual responses to the antivisual of the post-war intellectuals on the one hand, and the French academy-ism and its associated over-protectionism, on the other. The artists presented in the show are Eric Baudart (photography and video), Rada Boukova (video, performance, installation and photography), David Cousinart (video, performance, installation and objects), Emmanuelle Lainé (video and performance), Mohamed Louanjli (photography and programming), Chen-Yu Wang (photography and installation), Virginie Yassef (video, objects and installation).
